Part Time Role: 48 hours per fortnight
The Opportunity
The Lake Macquarie Private Hospital Clinical Trials Unit is seeking a Clinical Trials Coordinator. The successful individual will be part of a small team and will assume responsibility for the day-to-day management of a clinical trial portfolio at the Hospital. The Clinical Trials Unit currently undertakes a range of trials in the disciplines of oncology and cardiology, with the expectation that the unit will continue to expand and offer services to other clinical disciplines within the Hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day activities of assigned clinical trials.
- Conduct active patient visits.
- Manage any adverse events (AEs) and serious adverse events (SAEs) associated with the trial.
- Perform data entry and respond to sponsor queries.
- Manage ethics and governance activities associated with the study.
Skills And Experience:
- Registered Nurse or Science Graduate.
- Demonstrated understanding of clinical trials methodology and knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) requirements.
- Experience working with busy clinicians in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to establish relationships and work in partnership with stakeholders at all levels.
- High level oral and written communication skills and time management abilities.
- High level conceptual and analytical skills; capacity to show initiative and develop solutions.
- Experience in a research or clinical environment, including clinical trial coordination is desirable.
- Understanding of human research ethics and research governance within Australia is desirable.

Requirements:
- Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
- Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
