Clinical Research Coordinator Role:

Clinical research coordinators play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of clinical trials. We are seeking an experienced and passionate professional to join our team based in Sydney.

  • Ensure the timely initiation and smooth operation of allocated trials, with support from research leads, start-up teams, and clinical leads.
  • Collaborate with the team lead and local research team to guarantee that all recruitment targets and timelines are met.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including team members, research leads, principal investigators, centre staff, and sponsors.
  • Perform clinical tasks such as vital sign monitoring, ECGs, venepuncture, medication management, and maintain proficiency within competency.
  • Process samples, coordinate sample collection and dispatch as required.
  • Prepare for and host monitoring and close-out visits.
  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge in regulatory, administrative, and clinical frameworks, and current clinical issues and practice as they pertain to research.
  • Guarantee that all research is conducted in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, study-specific protocols, and applicable national and international laws and regulations.
  • Complete all mandatory and trial-specific training as required.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Hold current registration with relevant nursing experience.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in clinical research coordination, nursing, science, or phase 1 research, oncology, or nuclear medicine with an equivalent undergraduate degree.
  • Display strong computer literacy with knowledge of clinical trials software and MS Office suite.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in an effective, proactive, and cooperative manner.
  • Show high levels of initiative and flexibility, with the ability to meet deadlines while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and applicable national and international laws and regulations.
  • Be flexible in working times and locations.
