About the role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our team at our busy beachside Venue at Hillarys Boat Harbour, Western Australia. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen team and overseeing the creation of exceptional & fresh dishes for our busy beachfront restaurant. This is a full-time position.

What you'll be doing

Manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality meals

Oversee the procurement and management of kitchen supplies and ingredients to maintain optimal stock levels

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment for the kitchen team, providing guidance, training and mentorship

Ensure strict compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations

Work closely with the Venue Manager to align kitchen operations with front-of-house service

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior culinary role within the hospitality industry

Formal culinary training and qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery

Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu planning and cost control

Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the front-of-house team
