Overview

Administration Officer - Regulatory Services role at Careers at Council. Cowra & Council is seeking an experienced Administration Officer – Regulatory Services to join our Environmental Services team.

Location and Remuneration

Location: Cowra, New South Wales

Salary: $1,190.10 per week plus 12% Superannuation

Position Status: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: 8:00am – 4:45pm, 35-hour week (nine-day fortnight)

Closing Date: 5:00pm Sunday, 28 September 2025

The Opportunity

Are you a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a passion for administrative excellence? Cowra Council is seeking an experienced Administration Officer – Regulatory Services to support the Environmental Services team. This role provides essential administrative support to the environmental and regulatory functions, including regulation of food safety standards, pollution control, public health and environmental management initiatives. The role requires accuracy, efficiency and strong customer service skills to deliver statutory documents, maintain department operations, and provide administration support to the Ranger Services section.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality administrative support to the Environmental Services and Regulatory Functions.
  • Prepare and manage statutory documents and correspondence.
  • Support Ranger Services with administrative tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records, respond to inquiries, and coordinate schedules as required.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a Certificate III in Business Administration or similar, or relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Hold a current and valid Driver's Licence.
  • Demonstrated intermediate computer skills across a range of applications and the ability to adapt to new software.
  • Strong time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people at all levels.
  • High level customer service for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Local Government experience (Desirable).
