Company Description

Ibis budget Campbelltown is looking for a natural born leader to assist the General Manager with the everyday running of the hotel operation. The ideal candidate for the role is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is not afraid to be hands-on, ambitious, motivated, and has had previous experience in a Front Desk or management role.

Conveniently located near the Hume Highway, less than an hour from Sydney CBD, our 72-room property offers easy access to Sydney's West, the Southern Highlands, and major transport links including Leumeah train station.

Job Description

Responsible for supervising the smooth and efficient daily operation of the Front Desk, ensuring all hotel guests and visitors receive an optimum level of service and care at all times.

This is a hands-on, customer-focused role requiring an individual who can lead by example in meeting and maintaining our team brand standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing all guest arrivals and departures, ensuring room allocations and check-in/check-out processes adhere to standards.
  • Managing and supervising staff tasks to deliver high-quality service and meet department standards.
  • Reviewing and implementing procedures.
  • Communicating with the Hotel Manager on guest services and hotel operations matters.
  • Supervising shift handover procedures.
  • Coordinating with other hotel departments on administrative and operational issues.
  • Providing management presence by assisting with guest needs and handling complaints tactfully and efficiently.

Please note this role requires you to live on-site 4-5 nights on call, with accommodation and utilities included.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an Assistant Manager or similar role.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Operational leadership with a business mindset.
  • Experience with Opera PMS / Opera Cloud is desirable.
