Position Summary

Squadron Energy is seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Senior Finance Manager preferably with ESG experience to join our Finance team for a 9-month parental leave cover. This is a unique opportunity to combine your financial reporting expertise with a passion for sustainability, helping guide our business in alignment with the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standard (ASRS) - AASB S2.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Senior Finance Manager - Reporting is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our renewable energy projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial management. This role involves coaching a team of finance professionals, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical accounting advice to business partners
  • Develop and implement internal accounting policies, procedures and internal controls to safeguard company assets and enhance financial reporting processes.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements in SAP that drive efficiency and effectiveness
  • Actively lead the half-year and year-end reporting process to meet external and internal financial reporting requirements while driving excellence and accuracy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project financial performance and reporting requirements.
  • Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
