Reporting to the Principal Consultant, this role requires extensive knowledge of Safety Management Systems and the ability to provide strategic and technical WHS advice to our clients. HSB Resources Consultants are responsible for providing comprehensive support and advice to clients through simple, practical communication.

This role will also be responsible for undertaking various WHS-related investigations, assessments, audits, data analysis, reporting and end-to-end project management. This role is mainly office-based, with occasional site visits for auditing and inspections.

  • 5-10 years' experience as a WHS Consultant or similar industry WHS experience.
  • Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety or higher
  • A broad knowledge of the relevant legislation relating to WHS (Acts and regulations, Codes of Practices).
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience working with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards.
  • Strong understanding and capability in hazard identification, risk assessment and controls
  • Auditing qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Incident/non-conformance investigation experience
  • Ability to lead HSE initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain robust safety practices.
  • High level of Microsoft Office suite
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail
  • Ability to travel interstate or to a site at short notice or as required.
