Reports To

Principal Plastic Surgeon

Position Purpose

The Practice Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective management of the practice's daily operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and the smooth running of business processes. The role will include leadership of administrative and clinical support staff, oversight of compliance, and financial management. The position will also play a key role in the practice's transition into new premises and the development of a comprehensive wellness centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all day-to-day practice operations
  • Supervise, train, and support administrative and clinical staff
  • Manage patient bookings, theatre lists, correspondence, and communication
  • Coordinate financial processes including billing, Medicare/private health insurance claims, accounts, and stock management
  • Ensure practice compliance with all relevant health, safety, and privacy standards
  • Assist with business development, marketing initiatives, and service growth
  • Lead the planning and logistics for the practice's move to new premises
  • Support the integration of new services and expansion into a wellness centre model
  • Maintain a culture of professionalism, compassion, and high-quality patient service
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in medical practice management (specialist practice experience preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and HR management skills
  • Sound knowledge of Medicare, private health billing, and medical administration systems
  • High level of organisational skills with ability to prioritise competing tasks
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of practice budgets
  • Demonstrated experience in basic budgeting and financial management
  • Experience with Genie practice management software (desirable)
  • Project management or experience with business growth/relocation (desirable)
