Join Goodstart Early Learning as a PowerBI Developer and help shape the future of our data platform. In this short-term, high-impact role, you'll play a critical part in our Microsoft Fabric re-platforming project—converting legacy SAP BI models into scalable, high-performing PowerBI semantic models that empower decision-making across the organisation.

Your Impact:

As a PowerBI Developer, you'll play a key role in Goodstart's transition from SAP BI to Microsoft Fabric by designing accurate, scalable, and high-performing PowerBI semantic models. You'll analyse legacy SAP Universes, map business logic, and create well-documented models that support consistent, data-driven decision-making.

Working closely with technical and business stakeholders, you'll ensure reporting accuracy, model alignment, and seamless integration across projects. Your expertise in DAX, data modelling, and performance optimisation will directly shape the quality and usability of our analytics platform—helping teams access reliable insights faster.

You'll bring to the table:

Essential

• Degree qualification in either Information Technology or similar technical capacity, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience as a PowerBI developer, with a strong focus on semantic model design and build
• Experienced in DAX programming, with demonstrated ability to replicate business logic into PowerBI data model functionality
• Proven track record of working on data migration or reporting transformation projects.
• Solid understanding of data models supporting reporting tools, with preference to SAP Web Intelligence
• Proven SQL skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage deliverables, timelines, and communication with stakeholders
• Experience testing and validating data outputs, with attention to data quality and reconciliation
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and build stakeholder trust
• Current QLD Working with Children Check

Desirable

• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric and data warehouse environments
• Experience developing PowerBI reporting content and dashboards
• Understanding of KPI frameworks and semantic model documentation practices
• Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and use of Azure DevOps or equivalent project tools
