The position provides operational and administrative support informed by sound knowledge in service delivery areas, undertaking research and analysis activities.

The APS4 Planner will have significant contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate and advise on a range of service delivery matters to resolve moderately complex enquiries.

Duties Include :

  • Analyzing participant records using policies, guidance, and legislation to make funding decisions regarding participant plans to help reduce overspending.
  • Communicating with participants and their representatives via telephone to identify current circumstances and spending patterns.
  • Maintaining high-quality records, demonstrating competency with multiple IT systems, and adhering to process guidelines and SOPs.
  • Researching and reviewing decisions, managing moderately complex cases with the support of higher classification staff.
  • Completing administrative and data entry tasks related to participants.
  • Contributing to the achievement of key performance indicators and planning targets.
  • Key skills required include strong communication and interpersonal skills.

We are seeking candidates with the following experience :

  • Current or previous disability sector experience with a service provider or partner in the community.
  • An understanding of the impacts of disability on individuals and the challenges they face.
  • A caring, empathetic, and supportive nature.
  • Previous decision-making experience, especially in the Federal Government, is highly regarded.
  • Location: Brisbane CBD, Ipswich, or Robina, with hybrid working after training.
  • Initial 12-month contract.
  • Pay rate: $43.82 per hour + super.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen.
  • Start date: Early October 2025.
  • These are full-time positions only.
