
Intermediate Bookkeeper

You will take ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping tasks across a portfolio of clients, working independently while aligning with the firm's existing team. You will be across up to 28 clients and must be confident managing end-to-end bookkeeping, including payroll, superannuation, and BAS lodgements.
This is a remote position. This role is best suited to someone with a solutions mindset and the ability to work autonomously across multiple platforms. We're rolling out Xbert, which we anticipate will become the operational engine room for our bookkeeping workflow.
Key Responsibilities- End-to-end bookkeeping for a portfolio of small-to-medium businesses
- BAS preparation and lodgement
- Payroll and superannuation processing
- Client communications and query follow-up (via Content Snare)
- Working within a tech stack that includes Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, Karbon HQ, and Hubspot
- Upload and document management using Hubdoc
- Supporting the rollout and ownership of Xbert for internal bookkeeping workflow management
- Collaborating with the wider team and reporting to our domestic BAS/bookkeeping lead, Galisa
- Minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping and BAS preparation
- Confident using Xero, and comfortable navigating MYOB and QuickBooks
- Experience with Hubdoc — or willingness to become proficient quickly
- Familiarity with Karbon HQ and Hubspot is desirable
- You'll be the internal champion for Xbert and Hubdoc, helping drive adoption, efficiency, and internal training
- Able to stand on your own: you are organised, proactive, and need little handholding
- Excellent communication skills — you can work independently while keeping clients and internal stakeholders updated
