We're now seeking a Leisure Sales Manager to drive revenue growth, elevate our presence with luxury travel partners, and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence at 1 Hotel Melbourne.
The roleAs Leisure Sales Manager, you will direct, coordinate and execute all leisure sales activity to maximise existing accounts and generate new business. You'll partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Finance and Operations to ensure we meet (and exceed) our revenue targets. This is a key leadership role where your expertise and creativity will directly shape our success.
What you'll do- Lead relationships with major luxury consortia—Virtuoso, Signature, Ensemble, and AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts—including strategy meetings and performance reviews.
- Negotiate consortia promotions, allocations and commission structures to maximise revenue.
- Achieve KPIs including lead-to-conversion ratios, ADR uplift and incremental revenue growth.
- Plan and host on-property FAM trips and advisor stays; deliver engaging sales presentations and immersive property tours.
- Analyse account performance and market trends to recommend rate adjustments, packaging strategies and product enhancements.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve property objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor guest feedback and performance data to optimise engagement and retention.
- Inspire and lead others through effective communication, integrity and commercial insight.
- Relevant qualification with 4+ years' experience in a comparable sales role.
- Proven luxury hotel sales background and a strong record in business development.
- Exceptional presentation skills and disciplined follow-up.
- Outstanding time management, attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, team leadership and communication skills.
- Flexibility to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
