We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2024.

The College is seeking a part-time (FTE 0.4) Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader to commence Term 1, 2025 to support our College-wide student wellbeing program. In conjunction with key leaders of the College, this role will have a particular focus on designing and embedding a Biblically-shaped wellbeing program for the classroom.

You will use your knowledge of teaching and the student experience to boost the capacity and capability of teachers' mental health literacy, help support teachers to know when and how to refer students internally within the College and drive new mental health and wellbeing initiatives across the school.

The successful candidate will be provided training in mental health literacy, supporting emerging needs, and building school capacity and receive ongoing support and professional development through structured and regular Communities of Practice. Training is developed and facilitated by the Melbourne Graduate School of Education at University of Melbourne, supported by Murdoch Children's Research Institute.
