We are seeking a talented, driven Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our team in Cairns. With a zest for social media, content creation and storytelling, you will be comfortable developing and implementing engaging and effective campaigns as well as being behind and in front of the camera. Organised and self-motivated, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment, using your initiative and time management skills to deliver high-quality outcomes for the agency and its clients while also lending a hand with in-house videography, photography and the occasional layout tweak in Adobe CC.

Joining a well-established team of marketers, designers, videographers and web developers, you will coordinate and arrange digital marketing components. This means you will be well-versed in harnessing social media platforms – particularly Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest and LinkedIn. As a proficient copywriter, you will be comfortable developing engaging content to support our web development and SEO projects. You'll also know your way around a camera, capturing and editing short-form videos in Premiere Pro, CapCut, Insta (or similar), and you won't shy away from polishing a graphic in Photoshop, Figma or Illustrator when the brief calls for it.

As the digital world evolves continuously, your thirst for knowledge ensures you utilise the best platform or channel to ensure campaigns are seen in all the right places.

Now more than ever, content in all formats must captivate audiences, whether through reels, blogs, or EDMs. Your ability to write compelling content while navigating the requirements of algorithms is a must.

Comfortable supporting our lead videographer on shoots including setting up lighting, managing still-photography sessions and stepping in as a reliable second-camera operator when needed but also confident jumping into editing tools to trim, colour-grade and resize footage for both social media snippets and longer form edits.

Skills and experience

Essential skills:

  • Degree or equivalent, in Marketing or associated fields
  • Social media marketing
  • Copywriting
  • Excellent grasp of the English language
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Previous agency or marketing experience
  • Experience in using Adobe Creative Cloud – Premiere Pro, Lightroom, etc
  • Search engine optimisation
  • Experience with CMS such as WordPress, Umbraco and Shopify
  • SEMrush or similar
  • Experience in campaign planning and implementation
  • Experience shooting on mirrorless/DSLR cameras and setting up simple lighting/audio rigs
  • Google Ads Certifications
