El Jannah is a renowned family-owned business known for its simple, soulful Lebanese-Australian cuisine, attracting a rapidly expanding cult following. As we enter an exciting expansion phase, we are seeking a passionate, experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our EJ family.

The purpose of this role

Work closely with our Store Manager to implement operating procedures, policies, and deliver the highest level of service and quality food to our customers. The Assistant Store Manager will uphold our standards, knowledge, and policies across current and future stores. We want you to understand our operations thoroughly and help achieve our business goals as part of our team.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Store Manager on daily store operations.
  • Contribute a positive, welcoming atmosphere.
  • Ensure customers enjoy a consistent EJ experience with excellent service and food.
  • Motivate and lead the team, fostering a positive environment.
  • Assist in exceeding KPI targets and store profitability.
  • Provide staff training and coaching for continuous improvement.
  • Manage staff rosters and financial targets.
  • Maintain food safety standards store-wide to ensure customer trust.
  • Ensure the store is clean and well-maintained for efficiency.
  • Prioritize customer and staff safety, adhering to WHS regulations.
  • Manage stock levels effectively to ensure availability of essential items.

  • Possess natural leadership qualities to nurture your team.
  • Completed or willing to undertake a Food Safety Supervisor course.
  • Previous management experience in hospitality.
  • Passionate about good food and customer experience, ready for a challenge.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to resolve conflicts efficiently.
  • Approachable, friendly, and positive personality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially with customers.
  • Willing to complete store tasks with a positive attitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
