About The Role

The permanent part-time position is based in the Breakthru unit, in our Employment Supports program in Hornsby, NSW. This program supports participants who have NDIS funding, transitions into gainful employment opportunities. The key focus of this role is to assist people in learning new skills and gaining the confidence they need to find a job that they enjoy.

What You Will Do
  • Conduct thorough research to explore and understand various industries and career opportunities.
  • Provide individualized and group coaching to enhance interpersonal and professional skills.
  • Navigate key aspects of daily life, including public transportation, time management, and financial planning.
  • Develop expertise in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to optimize workflow efficiency.
  • Build strategic relationships through networking and proactive outreach to market clients effectively.
  • Demonstrate a self-directed approach to work while recognizing when to seek support and collaboration.
  • Embrace constructive feedback and commit to continuous professional growth.
Essential Criteria
  • Criminal record check (essential or willing to obtain)
  • Working with children's check (essential or willing to obtain)
  • NDIS Workers screening clearance (essential or willing to obtain)
About You

This wonderful opportunity is available immediately. It would suit someone who has experience supporting someone with a disability and who may be an organizing and administration whiz. You can adapt your communication style to build relationships, and you lead by example when advocating for a person's skills or abilities in job searching. Your experience might include supporting participants to achieve gainful employment opportunities; having lived or family experience of disability that you'd like to turn into a rewarding career; or coming from an employment, capacity building or support work background.

The Permanent Part Time salary on offer is $67,980 + Super + Salary Packaging + Royal Rewards pro rata. You will be supported by a knowledgeable senior leadership team, thorough induction and orientation, and will deliver amazing services to the community while developing your skills and career.
