The Senior Manager, Conservation Science will be responsible for leading and driving the operations of Trust for Nature's science function. This newly created role will be critical to aligning the science function to the Trust's strategy.
This is an ongoing Full-time position. Our workplace is supportive of flexible work and work from home arrangements, but this role is based in the Melbourne CBD office and on-site presence is required for the role.
The role offers a base salary range of $111,343-$136,394 p.a., plus super, with the starting salary point depending on experience and skill set.
As our ideal candidate, you will be:
• An experienced conservation science leader, to be the Trust's voice on science, who is passionate about landscape-level conservation
• Able to ensure integrity through a scientifically robust evidence-base, but pragmatic and able to take a risk-based approach on issues like climate change and nature markets
• Able to build scientific capability within the team and across the organisation
• Able to communicate scientific concepts clearly and articulately to both a science and non-scientific audience
• Comfortable being a subject matter expert working within a collaborative team, and inputting into organisational decisions
• Culturally competent and understand the interrelationship between science and Traditional Ecological Knowledge
