ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Facilities and Maintenance Manager to join our evolving DC team. You will lead your team to maintain safety, compliance, and operational efficiency, overseeing equipment and infrastructure maintenance while ensuring site-wide safety standards are met.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implement proactive maintenance strategies for site infrastructure, equipment, and utilities to ensure minimal operational disruption.
  • Lead safety and compliance initiatives, including programs, audits, training, and incident management to foster a strong safety culture.
  • Manage resources and contractors, including inventory, site maintenance, utilities, and service providers' performance.
  • Oversee asset lifecycle management, from documentation and inspections to preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Build and lead a capable, engaged, and high-performing team, while also being hands-on with maintenance tasks when required.
  • Report on safety and maintenance performance, providing insights and trends to stakeholders.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in maintenance and facilities management within a complex operational environment.
  • Strong understanding of WHS legislation, safety systems, and risk management practices.
  • Experience in project planning, resource coordination, and prioritisation under pressure.
  • Experience managing contractors, budgets, and service level agreements.
  • Effective leadership skills with a focus on team engagement and development.
  • Clear communication, strong reporting, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Familiarity with digital safety systems and site operational safety plans.
