Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee the delivery of preventative maintenance programs and coordinate unplanned and urgent maintenance and repair works. This role involves strategic planning, data analysis, contractor coordination, and ensuring assets and infrastructure remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.

About You:

You will have proven experience in facilities maintenance or building services, ideally within healthcare or similarly complex environments. Your strong coordination and problem-solving skills, along with communication strengths, will be essential to your success in this dynamic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and coordinate repair of hospital plant, equipment, and building infrastructure
  • Manage and prioritize work orders using the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Lead and guide internal trade staff and contractors, ensuring safety and quality standards are met
  • Assist with minor works projects and continuous improvement of facilities
  • Maintain accurate asset records and documentation
  • Build strong working relationships across clinical, engineering, and capital works teams
  • Ensure compliance with OHS legislation, building codes, and service level agreements
  • Participate in the after-hours Engineering department on-call roster

Requirements:

You'll need relevant trade qualification and/or tertiary qualification in building services, engineering, facilities management, or related field. Extensive experience in facilities maintenance or building operations, ideally in a healthcare or similarly complex environment, is also required.
