This is a 3 month fixed term, part-time (0.65FTE) position commencing Term 4, 2025 with possible extension 12 months and/or permanency.

The RoleCanning Vale College is seeking to appoint a passionate, competent and motivated Languages (Italian) teacher who is receptive to change and caters for the learning styles of twenty first century students.
We are seeking a teacher who will foster student engagement and will work to maximise student achievement in the Italian language, ideally applying contemporary understandings of best practice around second language acquisition. You will work collaboratively in a small team environment, with all members of the school and, with a wider community to provide quality educational experiences through promoting the school\'s vision and strategic directions.
The successful applicant should have a deep belief that every student is capable of successful learning and exhibit highly effective teaching practices and a willingness to seek constant improvement in their own practice.
An excellent knowledge of the West Australian Curriculum and a capacity to deliver content in an engaging manner are also desirable qualities.
The successful applicant will ideally be able to display how they will provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve to their highest potential. In addition, the ability to engage students using a range of skills, knowledge of effective classroom management strategies and restorative practices will be considered favourably.
The ability and initiative to work well with your colleagues as part of a team to develop teaching strategies, resources and approaches to ensure each student can reach their maximum potential should be addressed in your application.

EligibilityTo work with us, you must:
- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. More information about employment eligibility can be found on our website.
