About the role :

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Field Service / Workshop Diesel Mechanic. This is a full-time position and plays a key role in supporting a diverse product range across multiple customers.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with earth-moving equipment and trucks. Previous experience with equipment servicing is preferred, but we are happy to train the right qualified candidate.

Hours of work : 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Overtime available.

We currently have a Field Service / Workshop Diesel Mechanic position available at our Dandenong location. We seek someone with the right attitude, drive, self-motivation, and determination to succeed in a high-paced, competitive environment. Our customer base ranges from small-business owner-operators to large civil contractors and government bodies.

The successful applicant must demonstrate the ability to work independently, have a strong customer focus, and be punctual.

What we are looking for :

  • Mechanical Trade qualification - heavy plant preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic
  • Sound knowledge of Heavy Duty Equipment
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills

Additional advantageous skills :

  • Manual Driver License; HR license preferred but not essential
  • Positive attitude towards work
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements and adherence thereto
