Overview

Gin Gin State High School is seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our friendly and supportive team. If you take pride in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming spaces, and want to make a meaningful contribution to a caring school community, this could be the perfect role for you.

This position is offered as Permanent Part-Time (0.69 FTE), 53 hours per fortnight.

Who We Are Gin Gin State High School is situated adjacent to the Bruce Highway, 50 kms north-west of Bundaberg in the Wide Bay/Burnett region of Queensland. The school has an enrolment of approximately 450 students. The majority of these students travel from small outlying rural centres.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and waste disposal
  • Maintain cleanliness in classrooms, toilets, offices, and communal areas
  • Ensure high standards of hygiene and presentation across the school
  • Support basic site security procedures as needed
  • Report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel
