Assistant Manager – BŌS Restaurant & The Aviary Terrace Bar

BŌS The Place brings togetherelegance and energy— home to the refinedBŌS Restaurant, Brisbane's premier grill destination, and the lush, laid-backAviary Terrace Bar, perched for sunset views and lively sips.

We're searching for apassionate and proactive Duty Supervisor or Junior Managerto help lead our team across both spaces. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their hospitality career, balancing hands-on floor and bar responsibilities with leadership development.

What You'll Do

As assistant manager, you'll play a key role in day-to-day operations, delivering unforgettable guest experiences and supporting our senior leadership team.

You will:

Oversee shift operations, ensuring smooth service across bar and floor.

Support staff in delivering warm, polished, and efficient hospitality.

Contribute to beverage and service excellence — from pouring great wines to shaking up crowd-pleasing cocktails.

Handle end-of-day cashups, stock control, and assist with ordering and inventory.

Lead by example, jumping on the floor or behind the bar as needed.

Provide guidance and training to junior FOH and bar team members.

Work closely with the Venue and Bar Manager to ensure standards are consistently high and the vibe is on point.

What You Bring

Prior experience in a busy bar or restaurant environment — ideally at a supervisory level or with a strong desire to grow into one.

Confident knowledge of cocktails, wine, and spirits (or a willingness to learn fast).

Strong communication and team coordination skills.

A guest-first attitude with a calm, solutions-based approach under pressure.

A sense of fun, style, and pride in your craft.

Availability to work evenings and weekends.
