We are seeking an ambitious and proactive Cyber Security Analyst to join CrowdStrike's virtual Security Operations Center (SOC). The role provides opportunities to expand skills across experiences, detecting and responding to incidents in real time for customers.

- The allocated shifts span Wednesday to Saturday or Sunday to Wednesday for a 40-hour week, with longer daily hours than a standard 5-day week.
- Exercise incident handling processes across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.
- Perform basic malware analysis.
- Develop and improve processes for incident detection and execution of countermeasures.
- Produce high-quality written and verbal communications for customer management with recommendations and findings.
- Demonstrate industry thought leadership via blog posts, CrowdCasts, and other public speaking events.
- Manage internal programs or teams.
- 0 - 2 years of related experience.
- Ability to complete technical tasks without supervision.
- Desire to grow both technical and soft skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Contributing thought leader within the incident response industry.
- Ability to foster a positive work environment and attitude.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for audiences with varying levels of technical ability.
- Incident Handling: experience conducting or managing incident response and investigating targeted threats (e.g., Advanced Persistent Threats, Organized Crime, Hacktivists).
- Computer Forensic Analysis: experience with forensic tools to determine the extent of compromise.
- Systems Administration: understanding of system internals to implement countermeasures and remediation.
- Network Forensic Analysis: knowledge of network protocols, analysis tools, and capability to analyze network logs.
- Malware Analysis: ability to perform static and dynamic malware analysis.
- Incident Remediation: understanding of targeted attacks and ability to create remediation plans for compromised organizations.
- Network Operations and Architecture/Engineering: strong understanding of secure network architecture and network operations.
- Programming/Scripting: experience with C, C#, VB, Python, Perl, Ruby on Rails, and .NET.
- Located in Japan (remote within Japan considered; visa sponsorship not available).
- Business-level to native Japanese language skills (including writing) to communicate with local customers without need for proofreading; English skills are a plus but not mandatory.
- Preference for applicants in Australia who speak Japanese.
We seek candidates with strong technical expertise in security tools and platforms that integrate with our Next-gen SIEM. If you have experience with enterprise security technologies, you are encouraged to apply for Falcon Complete even if you haven't previously worked as a security analyst. This role offers a path to transition technical knowledge into cyber security threat response.
