Position Details:

39.01 - $67.15 per hour + 11.5% super & salary packaging | Temporary Part Time 24 hours per week | REQ587847 | Grade: Clinical Psychologist, Psychologist, Social Worker Level 3 | Applications close: 20 July 2025

This is a temporary leave relief position until 28 June 2026 with the possibility of extension.

We invite qualified Social Workers / Psychologists / Clinical Psychologists to join the professionals at Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD) Child Protection Counselling Service (CPCS). The ideal candidate will:

  1. Have extensive direct clinical experience providing counselling for individuals, including children, who have experienced violence, abuse, neglect, and trauma.
  2. Possess knowledge of the impacts of trauma on the brain and development.
  3. Be capable of providing clinical supervision.

This is a wonderful opportunity to join a busy and dynamic CPCS team. The role involves assessments, therapeutic case management, and ongoing counselling for children and their carers affected by domestic violence, physical abuse, or neglect.

The positions are based at Nowra Community Health Centre and Warilla Community Health Centre, with some outreach throughout the Illawarra region.
