Lead Therapist

This is a temporary full-time or part-time position for an experienced clinician to provide specialist counselling and interventions to children, young people, parents/carers and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide trauma-informed interventions and responses.
- Coordinate cases, including intake, assessment, case planning and referral functions.
- Offer client-focused advocacy, liaison and consultation services.
- Provide consultation on child protection matters to other health professionals.
- A Social Work degree providing eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) or Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Extensive post-graduate clinical experience in providing counselling, groupwork, parenting and case management interventions to clients where child protection, violence, neglect and trauma incidents have occurred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of child protection issues, including relevant legislation and guidelines, and the appropriate response for clinical practice.
