Managing Consultant - Industrial, Manufacturing & Supply Chain @ BTI Executive Search

Step into a newly created role as part of the senior leadership team of a trusted, independent supply chain solutions provider. With offices across Australia and New Zealand and a partner network in 100+ countries, our client delivers tailored end-to-end logistics, from sea and air freight to warehousing, customs brokerage, vendor management, and 4PL solutions. Lead the disruption of traditional models and challenge the logistics, freight forwarding and customs brokerage market by shaping innovative strategies that drive efficiency, transparency and create real value. In this pivotal role, you'll transform client operations across food & beverage, industrial, agricultural, and retail sectors - helping businesses operate smarter, faster, and with greater impact.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you'll have the autonomy to lead with confidence, take initiative, and bring fresh ideas to the table. Success in this role depends on strong collaboration across sales, internal sales, contract logistics, and procurement to deliver high-impact solutions for both existing and future clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead client discovery sessions to understand strategic goals and supply chain pain points
• Actively engage the market with regular client visits to build relationships and win trust
• Design tailored supply chain solutions (network design, service models, commercial terms)
• Use data analytics and modelling to quantify impacts and build strong business cases
• Partner with internal teams and leadership to ensure solutions are both feasible and profitable
• Oversee implementation, monitoring ROI and client benefits
• Analyse results and adjust strategies to keep performance on track
• Collaborate across departments to drive growth and shared success

About You

• A strong background in supply chain or logistics solution design
• Understanding of freight forwarding is highly advantageous
• Strong commercial acumen with a proven record of delivering profitable solutions
• Excellent communicator with the ability to engage credibly at senior executive and board level, combined with strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• Analytical, data-driven approach to problem solving
