Overview

Quality Specialist (Investigations) role at Bendigo Advertiser

Location: Newcastle, Maitland & Hunter, NSW, Australia 2295. Employment type: Full-time Permanent; Part-time Permanent roles may be available.

Lead with integrity and investigate to improve care standards and protect vulnerable individuals across Australia.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead investigations into serious incidents, complaints, and allegations—from abuse and neglect to WHS matters.
  • Gather and analyse evidence with precision, empathy, and procedural fairness.
  • Engage with regulators such as the NDIS Commission, Child Protection, Ombudsman, and WorkSafe.
  • Deliver clear, trauma-informed reports and outcome letters that drive corrective action.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying trends and embedding safer practices across services.
What You'll Bring
  • Certificate IV in Government (Investigations) or equivalent (desirable)
  • Tertiary qualifications in social work, disability, child protection, or related fields
  • Experience in investigations within OOHC, disability, or health sectors
  • Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding, quality, and professional growth

  • National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
