About This Role

Our clinic in Westmead Hospital is currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join the team. We are happy to accommodate a start date best suited to the successful candidate.

The role is a full time position working Monday to Friday. You will work weekly alternating shifts of either 7am – 3pm or 9:30am – 5:30pm.

Role Overview:

As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting patients warmly and assisting with check-in procedures.
  • Answering emails and phone calls promptly and handling inquiries professionally.
  • Advising patients of preparation prior to relevant scans.
  • Billing procedures – private, hospital, Medicare, workers compensation, and DVA.
  • Collaborating with clerical and technical staff, hospital staff, radiologists, and referrers.

What we're looking for:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong organisational skills to manage bookings and patient flow

Ability to work efficiently across multiple systems in a busy environment

Flexibility to work rotating shifts

Previous experience in medical reception is beneficial but not essential – full training will be provided
