Graduate Stormwater Engineer role at Stormwater Services Australia involves designing and managing stormwater systems with a focus on practical civil engineering experience.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the design, analysis, and implementation of stormwater management systems to mitigate flooding and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Conducting site inspections to collect data on water flow and drainage issues.
  • Preparing technical reports and documentation, including quotations, estimates, inspection, and works reports for projects.
  • Assisting in construction and maintenance scheduling and providing consultation on stormwater asset issues.
  • Collaborating with clients, contractors, and engineers to develop sustainable stormwater management solutions.
About You

The company is looking for:

  • A recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from a university recognised by Engineers Australia for registration.
  • Strong interest in stormwater management, water sensitive urban design, and water/wastewater engineering.
  • Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A quick learner with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to apply theoretical knowledge practically.
