The Environment & Resilience Unit prepares and plans for complex environmental, sustainability and engineering programs and projects to achieve quality outcomes for the residents and environment of the Northern Beaches.

The Stormwater Engineering Group within Environment & Resilience Unit provides both strategic and operational management for the Council's stormwater assets. You will be working within the Stormwater Operations & Planning team which is tasked with identifying and effectively managing localised flood risks throughout the local government area. Additionally, the team is responsible for ensuring the high-performance delivery of stormwater asset services. These services include construction, operation, maintenance, and sustainable renewal, all aimed at meeting community needs while minimising environmental impact.

Our opportunity :

  1. Stormwater Investigations: Prioritise and respond to customer requests, applying excellent communication skills to gather relevant information, assess stormwater issues, and provide appropriate stormwater management solutions.
  2. Project Management: Efficiently manage stormwater projects from inception to completion, overseeing timelines, budgets and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of effective drainage solutions.
  3. Drainage Design: Prepare and review stormwater designs, plans, and models ensuring compliance with relevant policies, regulations and industry standards.
