Overview

UGL are recruiting for their next superstar for a newly created Project Scheduler / Cost Controller role Working in UGL's Utilities Operations and Maintenance business, you'll play a key role in coordinating the Power Project within the Victorian Electricity Supply Industry (VESI).


Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and ensure alignment between the schedule, project scope and key milestones
  • Implement EVM techniques to track project performance and provide regular updates on project progress and performance metrics
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies, as well as manage and document changes
  • Prepare and deliver accurate and timely project reports
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial plans with the project team
  • Support preparation of financial reports, monthly project reviews, and audits
  • Drive financial accountability and performance throughout the Vic O&M business
  • Attend project meetings to support financial planning, reporting, and risk management
  • Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, margin results and the Contract/Project actual performance compared to the budget/forecast plans
  • Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets
  • Provide insightful commentary and recommendations for financial and operational improvements
  • Support internal and external audits as required

About You / Qualifications
  • You are skilled at being the glue between Managers, Supervisors, Lineworkers and Client, remaining actively involved in day-to-day tasks and long-term goals
  • You are a self-starter capable of thriving in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
  • You are an advanced critical thinker and a problem solver with a positive can-do attitude
  • You proactively seek to continuously improve deliverables and work efficiencies
  • You have prior experience in a Program Coordinator or related role within Electrical Supply Industry or an engineering or construction management environment
  • You are proficient with the MS Office suite and have used SAP
  • You're a team player who likes to have a laugh
