We are seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream – Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The RoleSuitable applicants will, under teacher direction, assist in the delivery of planned education programs, implement individual or small group programs, and be able to provide valuable feedback to support student learning. They will ideally assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment by maintaining equipment, materials, and resources, for use in classes, displays, and demonstrations, and assisting the teacher with clean and safe storage of items after classes and activities. Suitable applicants should ideally have initiative and carry out tasks efficiently, as well as working as an effective team member.
You would work as part of the early childhood team, communicating with teachers and support staff as well as students and their families. The role involves building meaningful relationships with children and families, and the ability to work with small groups and one-on-one is highly advantageous. You should ideally help students develop their skills, reach key milestones, and contribute to their well-being. Suitable applicants should ideally have well-developed behaviour management strategies and be able to implement positive engagement expectations.

EligibilityTo work with us, you must:
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
