Overview

Aircraft Component Technician role at McDermott Aviation.

Location: Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. This full-time role involves maintenance and certification of aviation components across pneumatic, hydraulic, fuel, electrical, environmental, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities
  • Tear down and cleaning of components and preparation of inspection reports after measurements of subcomponents/parts, tests against acceptability criteria, determining parts that require replacement, outside testing and/or services.
  • Reassembly of components according to the Component Maintenance Manual or shop procedures, including inspections, tests, and functional tests.
  • Reassembly tasks may include painting, re-surfacing, soldering, wiring, repairs, adjustments, and assembly operations.
  • Verify all paperwork and traceability of parts used in component assemblies.
  • Ensure data related to measurements, testing, functional tests and inspections is recorded on the work order or applicable documents.
  • Participate or lead in the development of repair techniques or processes to enhance productivity.
Qualifications
  • Experience in the Aviation Components Industry is essential
  • Relevant Trade Qualifications
  • A strong work ethic and a reliable and enthusiastic attitude
  • Dedicated to the pursuit of quality and excellence
  • Repair and/or overhaul aircraft components and parts
  • Maintenance and Repair of Aircraft components
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Current and valid driver's licence
