Overview

We are looking for a Pathology Collector to service Pathology clinic in Cairns. Part-Time or Casual position available.

Responsibilities
  • Take blood and other specimens from patients.
  • Perform 24-hour blood pressure monitoring and Holter monitoring.
  • Processing of pathology specimens.
  • Clerical duties and processing paperwork.
  • Ability to work alone and participate in weekend roster at collection centres.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Venepuncture experience essential with vacutainer method.
  • Experience with ABP and Holter monitors preferred but not essential.
  • Good communication with team, referring doctors and patients.
  • Ability to demonstrate organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Own car and current driver licence required.
  • Comply with Work Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
  • Work With Children - Blue Card.

  • It is a requirement that a current Working with Children clearance is provided upon commencement of employment.
