The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel team is growing, and we are looking for an experienced assistant brewer to join us

About Us: The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel is Australia's oldest pub brewery, renowned worldwide for award-winning natural ales. We brew using only malt, hops, yeast, and water, with no added sugars, preservatives, or additives—ensuring a 100% natural beer.

This is a casual, three-day-a-week position with the opportunity to increase hours for the right candidate. The role is based in The Rocks, Sydney.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience as a Brewer: A minimum of 2 years brewing experience in a professional brewery.
  • Enthusiasm for Craft Beer: A genuine passion for craft beer and brewing.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for quality and consistency in brewing.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well within a team and contribute positively to our brewery culture.
  • Strong Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and committed to producing excellent craft beer.
  • Travel: Flexibility to travel between our two brewery locations during work hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the brewing process, including cleaning and sanitising equipment, monitoring fermentation, and packaging.
  • Operate brewing equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Support inventory management and supply chain processes.
  • Participate in taste testing and quality control.
  • Perform general bar and brewery duties.
  • Must have a valid RSA.
