Newly created Senior Payroll Officer role based in Sydney CBD or Moree NSW.
This standalone permanent position reports directly to the leadership team and will service the end to end payroll processing for approx. 150 staff on a fortnightly basis using the Employment Hero payroll system.
You will be supported by a highly motivated leader with a growth mindset, looking to stand up a winning team. This role is suited to payroll candidates who are comfortable working in a standalone environment and operating within a growing family business with a corporate outlook.
Salary offering C. $100,000 + super depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the end to end payroll processing for Australia on a fortnightly basis. Approx 150-180 staff.
- Responsible for managing the payroll journals and coordinating month end and year end payroll processes.
- Prepare and submit reports for super, payroll tax and PAYG lodgement, whilst ensuring compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
- Support HR with any EA/EBA related tasks/queries.
- Responsible for assisting with the Employment Hero system integration and identifying any process improvements and efficiencies for the division.
Candidate Skills & Experience
The suited candidate for this role will be an experienced senior payroll officer who technically understands the end to end processing and it would be a bonus if they have operated in a similar standalone capacity.
They will be highly trustworthy and treat all confidential information with the utmost care.
They will have excellent communication skills and have the ability to build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
The preferred candidate does not necessarily need agriculture industry experience, but it is a bonus if they have operated in a similar environment.
The preferred candidate should be system savvy and have worked across a range of payroll systems. They do not need prior exposure to the Employment Hero system, but this would be an advantage.
