The Opportunity

We have an exciting opening for a hospitality professional to lead our friendly restaurant team as a Restaurant Manager .

About the Resort

Bedarra Island Resort is an award-winning, all-inclusive barefoot luxury island resort in tropical North Queensland, just 2 hours south of Cairns and off the coast from Mission Beach, on the Great Barrier Reef.

With only twelve guest villas, we cater to a maximum of 24 guests at any time, providing a private and personalized island experience like no other.

What to Expect

Our open-air restaurant offers an ideal setting for creating memorable dining experiences. You will work with our talented chefs to guide the restaurant team through daily menu preparations, tastings, and suggestions to delight our guests. Menus are crafted daily using the best seasonal produce from Far North Queensland, with wine pairings for each course.

Participate in our nightly cocktail hours, engaging with guests and showcasing your creations. If wine is your passion, enjoy our extensive selection to perfectly match our dishes.

As an all-inclusive resort, there's no need to handle charges or money, allowing you to focus solely on delivering exceptional service.

Are you right for the role?

Senior management experience in fine dining, high-end restaurants, or resorts is essential.

Strong knowledge of local and imported wines and cocktails.

Experience in managing, training, and motivating a team.

Ability to work autonomously.

Skills in budgeting, cost control, and rostering.

Experience developing relationships with suppliers, stock control, and ordering.

A natural, relaxed style of service with attentiveness to guest needs.

A vibrant, positive, and outgoing attitude towards guests and team members.
