The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and strategic General Practice Operations Manager to take on a senior leadership role within our organisation.
This position sits above the Practice Manager and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice at a higher level, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and reporting directly to the company Directors.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership, mentoring, and oversight to the Practice Manager and broader administrative team.
Work closely with Directors to develop and implement strategic business plans.
Oversee compliance with regulatory standards, risk management, and accreditation processes.
Lead projects to enhance efficiency, patient experience, and service delivery.
Manage budgets, financial performance, and reporting alongside finance and management teams.
Drive continuous improvement in systems, workflows, and team culture.
Represent the practice in external stakeholder meetings and partnerships.
About You
Proven experience in senior management within general practice or a healthcare setting.
Previous GP management experience is essential.
Experience with Best Practice software is essential.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
In-depth understanding of Medicare billing, accreditation standards, and healthcare compliance.
Strategic thinker with experience in business planning and execution.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in health administration, business, or related fields (desirable).
