General Practice Nursing Role

This permanent part-time nursing position involves all aspects of general practice nursing, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

About the Role:

  • Perform adult & childhood immunisations.
  • Manage wound care, ensuring best practices and patient comfort.
  • Oversee chronic health management, providing consistent and thorough care.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
  • Deliver compassionate patient care, prioritising their well-being and health.
  • Adapt to changing circumstances with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Strive for continuous improvement and high standards in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Immunise patients according to vaccination schedules.
  2. Provide wound care services, including dressing changes and debridement.
  3. Conduct regular reviews of patients' chronic health conditions.
  4. Ensure accurate and timely completion of patient medical records.
  5. Prioritise patient needs and provide empathetic care.
  6. Develop and implement plans to improve patient outcomes.
  7. Collaborate with healthcare teams to achieve shared goals.

Essential Criteria:

  • Current Registration as an EN or RN Nurse with the relevant regulatory body.
  • Current National Police Clearance.
  • Current First-Aid Certificate.

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous General Practice experience.
  • Immunisation Accreditation certification.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Health Records software.
  • COVID-19 vaccination training.
  • Experience in Chronic Disease Management.
  • Experience conducting Pre-Employment Medicals.
