NDIS - Disability Support Worker Part-time and Casual
About the RoleAllambi Care is a multi-disciplined and recognised leader in the human services field, supporting the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Hunter, and Central Coast regions in NSW, as well as Victoria. The role involves fostering a safe, friendly, and supportive environment for individuals living with disabilities, children, and young people in our care through person-centred active support to help develop daily living skills, engagement in community activities, and greater independence and inclusivity.
Responsibilities- Build relationships with the people you are caring for.
- Provide around-the-clock care following a structured routine tailored to individual needs, including personal care.
- Administer medication as required.
- Transport participants to and from school, day programs, and appointments.
- Assist in implementing programs designed for client development and independence.
- Document report writing as part of the role.
- Current Working with Children Check (for paid employment).
- Current NDIS Worker Check.
- Current First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid; HLTAID011).
- National Police Check (via appropriate service).
- A current driver's licence (minimum P2) and a vehicle capable of transporting 4+ people.
- Comprehensive Car Insurance.
- Certificate of Completion: NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Ability to work a 7-day roster and willingness to participate in pre-employment medical checks.
- Two professional references.
- Desirable: Certificate IV Disability or Disability Support, or equivalent; Certificate III in Individual Support; Certificate III in Aged Care.
Paid induction program, ongoing support, on-call support, and compensation aligned to SCHADS Level 2 Paypoint 1. Additional benefits are provided as part of the Allambi Journey.
