NDIS - Disability Support Worker Part-time and Casual

Allambi Care is a multi‑disciplinary leader in the human services field serving the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Hunter, and Central Coast regions in NSW, as well as Victoria. With over 40 years of experience, we support our community's most vulnerable people through tailored services and programs.

About the Role

The Support Worker plays a vital role in fostering a safe, friendly, and supportive environment for individuals living with disabilities, children, and young people in the care of Allambi Care. Through tailored person‑centred active support, this role empowers participants, including those with complex needs, to develop daily living skills, engage in community activities, and build greater independence and inclusivity to achieve their goals.

Your Daily Tasks
  • Build relationships with the people you are caring for
  • Provide around‑the‑clock care to participants, following a structured routine tailored to their needs, including personal care
  • Administer medication
  • Transport participants to and from school, day programs, and appointments
  • Assist in implementing programs designed for client development
  • Complete report writing

About You

Essential criteria:

  • Current Working with Children Check (for paid employment)
  • Current NDIS Worker Check
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid; HLTAID011)
  • National Police Check
  • Current driver's licence (minimum of a P2)
  • Vehicle that can transport four or more people
  • Comprehensive Car Insurance
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion
  • Ability to work a 7‑day roster
  • Willingness to participate in pre‑employment medical checks
  • Two professional references

Desirable Qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Disability or Disability Support or equivalent
  • Certificate III in Individual Support
  • Certificate III in Aged Care
