Overview

Join to apply for the Electrical Supervisor role at Northern Star Resources Limited. This position is based at the Kanowna Belle Operation, which boasts a +10-year mine life. The roster is 5/2 4/3 (10-hour days).

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Process Supervisors and Mechanical Supervisors to ensure the process plant and facilities are available and optimised. Manage electrical personnel to maintain plant and ancillary assets so that business targets are achieved.
  • Provide effective direction and guidance to team members. Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and coach all direct reports to promote employee development.
  • Lead the team in maintaining a safe and productive work environment by developing and implementing safe work practices/procedures that meet statutory and company OHS&E requirements. Ensure activities are environmentally responsible.
  • Demonstrate a clear commitment to safety and health; proactively engage in continuous OHS improvement and participate in all safety communication and awareness systems.
To thrive in this role, you'll need
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years leadership experience on a mine site. Strong leadership skills to guide a team toward organizational goals. Solid understanding of Fixed Plant maintenance principles and their application. Knowledge of fixed processing plant equipment operation. Proficient in Pronto and MS Office. Ability to plan and anticipate scenarios related to key responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • Electrical Trade Qualification
  • Current Police Clearance
  • Frontline management or equivalent desirable
  • Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
