Overview

Supagas is a fast-growing national supplier of cylinder gases such as LPG, Industrial Gases, Hospitality Gases and Helium. We are building a reputation for growth and success based on an exceptional "YES WE CAN" customer service offering and quality products in a competitive market.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Branch State Operations Supervisor based out of our Dandenong Branch, however, will require travel across Victoria. The role is full-time and permanent and you will lead, manage and ensure branches have sufficient support, resources and guidance to achieve operational needs and Supagas objectives while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Motivate, lead and direct multi-branch staff to create a positive culture and working environment.
  • Plan for growth and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a safety-focused approach and promote a Safety-First culture.
  • Develop operational budgets by branch and work with State and Branch Managers to achieve them.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Australian State and Federal laws and applicable standards, policies and procedures.
  • Implement and manage HSEQ obligations, initiatives and strategies at all Supagas Branches, Dealers and Agents.
  • Support and maintain the fleet to meet WHS and transport codes.
  • Review and improve processes for schedulers, logistics team, yard staff and drivers; streamline processes, eliminate waste and improve productivity.
  • Maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics and yard operations.
  • Plan for growth within the branches and manage the general operations of all branch staff with Branch Managers.
  • Ensure fleet management and maintenance align with policies and practices.
  • Induct and safety-train all new operational employees and other workplace participants in line with Supagas Induction and Safety training.
  • Collaborate with HSEQ and Training teams to develop and improve driver training plans and documentation to reflect best practices.
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience mentoring and leading teams across a multi-site network.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • LPG and Industrial Gas experience.
  • HSEQ and auditing experience.
  • Exposure to NHVR Legislation.
  • Ability to establish productive, professional relationships across multiple departments to achieve objectives.
  • Drive to achieve goals with the ability to persuade and influence others.
  • Current police check and demerit point statement required.
