How you'll make an impact

CareChoice are currently looking for experienced Disability Support Workers who may be interested in joining our team in the Greater Geelong area.

We are looking for people willing to provide quality services and safeguards to our clients with an emphasis on skill and capacity building to encourage independence and confidence for meaningful and active inclusion in society. Ideally applicants will have experience supporting participants with physical and behavioural conditions.

A day in the life as a Disability Support Worker with CareChoice, may see you supporting our Participant with:

• Building on individual strengths and enabling Participants to reach their goals.
• 24-hour complex supports
• Supported Independent living
• Community access and transport
• Domestic and Personal care

The hours of work available are at all times as we have several 24:7 clients. Shifts include weekday shifts, evening, and weekend shifts. Penalty rates apply on weekends, Public Holidays, after 8pm and after 12 pm. 

About you

As a passionate, reliable, and experienced Disability Support Worker, you'll have experience with providing quality care services, implementing behavioural strategy supports and building rapport with Participants. 

You will need to come with:

• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
• Certificate IV in Disability 
• Minimum 12 months experience working with clients that have complex care requirements
• Valid Driver's Licence with access to a comprehensively insured vehicle 

Employment with CareChoice is subject to satisfactory background checks which include Professional References, Employee Working with Children Check, Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
