Care for Choice is a small team looking for Disability Support Workers.

Immediate start in the Geelong area to support clients in the community and their home who have mental health and psychosocial needs.

The ideal candidates will have a Certificate IV in Disability or Mental Health or are working towards obtaining those qualifications.

Our clients will appreciate your commitment to professionalism and reliability. Your capacity to understand their needs, how to support them to achieve their goals and to build trusting professional relationships is key to being successful in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Assistance with community access and recreational activities
  • Personal care (showering, toileting, and hygiene assistance)
  • Meal preparation and cleaning
  • Behavioural and Mental Health Support
  • Flexible casual hours that includes (AM, PM, weekends, public holidays and sleep overs)
Essential Requirements
  • Be comfortable working independently and being an active team member
  • Ability to work 10 – 20 hours a week.
  • Ability to work flexible casual hours.
  • Current Police Record Check
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willing to obtain)
