OverviewThe Business Development Manager – Manufacturing Capacity Solutions, ANZ role is responsible for the commercial success of Cytiva's KUBio, FlexFactory, Aseptic Filling, and Hardware Solutions across Australia and New Zealand. This role will indirectly support FastTrak process development and Validation Service in this region. Responsibilities include developing and deploying strategies, mentoring and leading cross-functional teams, and engaging with and supporting customers across multiple biotherapeutic modalities at various stages of business evolution.
What You'll Do- Lead the commercial discussion with key customers on Cytiva's overall offering, coordinating with product, engineering, operations and commercial teams, as well as key technical partners, at management and engineering levels. Work closely with internal teams to drive in-depth commercial discussions with customers in gene and cell therapy manufacturing process design decisions support.
- Build a strong pipeline of opportunities across the region for Process Development, Flex Factories, Aseptic filling, complex hardware or customized hardware and other services across Asia Pacific.
- Ensure collaboration across the Cytiva commercial organization, building internal stakeholder and Account Management synergy to increase customer qualification and accelerate development of sales opportunities.
- Drive optimal operating mechanisms to monitor and track progress of opportunities in the pipeline, including design-in initiatives, and forecast performance against the Operating Plan.
- Work directly with project managers, lead system design engineers, process design engineers and the site implementation team within Enterprise Hardware Solutions to deliver complex FlexFactories, KUBio or Hardware Solutions successfully to Cytiva customers.
- 10+ years' experience in engineering/biopharma.
- Proven commercial track record in multiple Bioprocessing modalities, with Product Management/Offering/Large deals expertise.
- Strong manufacturing and engineering knowledge including quality and regulatory understanding of Bioprocessing modalities, including Gene Therapy and mRNA fields.
- Proven ability to influence and negotiate internally and with customers.
- Demonstrated high-level presentation and interpersonal skills; able to communicate and present ideas to customers in a way that produces understanding and impact, and which builds effective partnerships.
- Ability to travel – up to 50% of time, within ANZ and internationally
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
