Position Purpose

The Payroll Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, and company policies. The role also provides support to employees and management on payroll-related matters while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and data integrity.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Certificate IV in Payroll Administration, Accounting, or a related qualification (desirable).
  • Previous experience in a similar role within medium to large organisations preferred.
Key Skills & Attributes
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, taxation, and superannuation.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g. Preceda, Dayforce,SAP.HR3, or equivalent).
  • Good time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
