Compliance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Specialist to support the compliance obligations of a leading superannuation provider.
02nd September, 2025In this role, you will provide day-to-day compliance oversight, advice, and monitoring, with a strong focus on SIS Act compliance and evolving regulatory requirements.
Duration: 6 months
Location: Melbourne or Sydney (remote work option is available).
Responsibilities- Conduct day-to-day compliance reviews, assessments, and provide feedback and sign-off to Fund Services teams.
- Review internal and external communications and materials to ensure alignment with the SIS Act and broader financial services legislation.
- Provide technical guidance and interpretation of complex regulatory issues across superannuation and financial services law.
- Assist in identifying, managing, and assessing the impact of regulatory change on Fund Services operations.
- Track the progress of legislative changes through Parliament and monitor associated regulations and guidance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely responses to regulatory developments and ensure continued compliance across business processes.
- Proven experience in incident and remediation analysis, preferably in the superannuation and/or insurance claims domain.
- Deep understanding of superannuation industry processes, especially insurance within super funds.
- Solid working knowledge of SIS Act and SIS Regulations relevant to member remediation and incident handling.
- Experience managing third-party providers and holding them accountable for service performance.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
