Main duties of the job

As the Hospital Director, you will be responsible for the full clinical and administrative management of Farmfield Hospital. This includes leading the multidisciplinary team, ensuring excellent patient care and quality standards, and meeting financial targets. You will also be responsible for developing the hospital's strategy, promoting its reputation, and engaging with provider collaboratives. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in healthcare management, a clinical background in mental health, and the ability to drive performance and implement change through inclusive and supportive leadership.

Job responsibilities

You will be leading and managing full clinical and administrative teams, ensuring excellent care is delivered and maintained, and ensuring quality and financial targets are met.

As the Hospital Director atFarmfield Hospital, you will have overall leadership and management responsibility of the service, lead themultidisciplinary team, and be responsible for operational performance whilst continuing to develop commercial opportunities with purchasers and referrers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating the development of quality healthcare services, ensuring that they respond to the changing needs of purchasers and patients, and also reflect market trends and evidence-based practice.
  • Ensuring both quality and financial targets are met,
  • Leading the senior management team on site, developing local strategy of the service, ensuring adherence to the service's objectives, quality improvement and business plans.
  • Promoting and enhancing the hospital's reputation for specialist care and service
  • Fulfilling the role of Registered Manager as per CQC expectations
  • Engagement with Provider Collaboratives

To be successful as Hospital Director, you will:

  • Have an excellent track record in a management role within the healthcare sector
  • A clinical background in and understanding of mental health services
  • An excellent track record in a management role within the healthcare sector (essential).
  • An emphasis on performance and delivery in order to support successful service delivery and development, budget control, business development and revenue generation.
  • A credible, inclusive and supportive management style balanced with strong leadership and sound underpinning knowledge to provide direction and implement change.
  • Knowledge of clinical and non-clinical operational activities within a health sectororganisation.
  • Working knowledge of theNHS and IndependentHealthcaresectors.

Where you will be working Location:Farmfield Drive, Charlwood, Surrey, RH6 0BN

You will be working at Farmfield Hospital, situated located next to Gatwick.

You'll be caring for adult men 18+ who potentially have a forensic background and enduring mental health illnesses such as personality disorder, substance misuse issues and challenging behaviours. Working hours will be Monday to Friday 9-5 with some flexibility required to attend site is required outside of these hours.

Person SpecificationQualifications
  • You will need an excellent track record in a management role within the healthcare sector, with a clinical background and understanding of mental health services. Strong leadership, budget control, and business development skills are essential, as is a credible and inclusive management style.
